Bradley Battle Command Vehicle

The Bradley Battle Command Vehicle (BCV) provides brigade commanders optimum situational awareness while on the move. The system also frees the commander from their Command Post and allows the commander to move to any decisive point on the battlefield.

The BCV integrates an enhanced Command and Control Communication suite, which includes a Multi Processor Unit (MPU) and three workstations, in the vehicle hull. The MPU hosts the Automated Battle Command Software (ABCS) used for Battle Command. The system also integrates LOS Communication equipment (SINCGARS, EPLRS, NTDR) with the SATOM 103 Radio and soon-to-be-fielded INMARSAT Satellite System.

The BCV provides the crew with on-the-move capability while maintaining real-time digital interface with its maneuver forces and its static Tactical Operations Center (TOC).

The BCV provides an Environmental Control Unit and second generator to provide cooling and power to the Mission Equipment. Four BCV vehicles have been produced and fielded to the 4th Infantry Division and were used with great success in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
