Threat Matrix Generator
Enhances ALE-47 and other countermeasures dispenser systems
The digital cockpit display unit (DCDU) Threat Matrix Generator (TMG) provides the user with the capability to create, modify, and save mission data files (MDF) for the ALE-47 DCDU. These MDFs are used to define countermeasure dispensing activity when the DCDU is used without an ALE-47 programmer.
TMG presents the operator with MDF data screens grouped in a logical array. The TMG verifies that all values entered by the user are within acceptable ranges for each parameter. Any unacceptable entries will automatically be rejected. The TMG saves the MDF in a file format compatible with BAE Systems’ Universal Memory Loader Verifier (UMLV).
The DCDU TMG requires the following operating environment:
- PC running Windows 95/98/2000/NT
- Screen resolution of at least 800x600 pixels
The DCDU TMG software consists of a single application, which provides the following functionality:
- Create new DCDU MDF files
- Read existing DCDU MDF files from disk
- Verify integrity of DCDU MDF files and save them to disk
- Save an English readable report of the MDF contents to disk
- Print an English readable report of the MDF contents
The DCDU TMG reads and writes Intel hex-formatted MDF files (.HEX) and also writes report files (.LOG). The default directory for these files is the application directory.
