Compact Airborne Targeting System (CATS)
Leveraging the diode-pumped technology from the advanced targeting pod sniper laser, BAE Systems has built a compact and lightweight laser designator called CATS that can be gimbal-mounted for use on helicopters, ground vehicles, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
CATS is very similar to the ATP sniper laser, but has a reduced range and laser energy output more suitable for low altitude or ground applications. Its range is good for 10 nautical miles (more than 20 km).
