Mobility and Protection
In a joint effort, BAE Systems M&PS is teamed exclusively with Lockheed Martin Systems Integration (LMSI)-Owego to develop the next generation of light tactical vehicles. LMSI-Owego will lead as the systems integrator and prime contractor with BAE Systems M&PS as the key partner in this teaming arrangement. M&PS will provide survivability solutions (A-kit, B-kit, and other armor packages) along with automotive engineering support, test and evaluation support, manufacturing planning and engineering, and assembly facilities. In addition, M&PS will assist with marketing and business development, and customer contact assistance.
The focus of the JLTV program is to increase occupant survivability while maintaining vehicle mobility, transportability, and payload capacity. The lightweight armor solutions are designed as stand alone kits to achieve this level of performance. BAE Systems M&PS will carry over the same unsurpassed record of delivery, quality, and reliability from the FMTV program to this exciting new program of the future.
